New Beginnings . . .

With tax season here and spring just around the corner . . . I find myself thinking about beginnings . . . find myself feeling excited about starting something new, proceeding forward on previous plans and ideas, opening to new experiences.

I imagine a lot of you feel that same way around this time.  In fact, it seems like a mistake of nature to me that the new year begins in January, rather than in March, with the advent of spring – the time of birth and rebirth of life and vitality.

It seems far more appropriate to me for us to usher in the new year at a time of fertility and growth and expansion . . . what I like to think of as a time of “ripeness”.

“Ripe” is such a wonderful word.  When you are ripe, you are fruitful . . . When you are ripe, you are ready . . . When you are ripe, you are receptive, succulent and full of possibilities.  When you are ripe, you are alive!

And this is the time of year when we all begin to feel alive again.  We begin to get into shape . . . we begin to seriously follow our health and fitness regimes, so we will look and feel better as spring and summer approach and we begin to become one with nature again . . . one with the outdoors, with our bodies, with the vitality and sheer joy of being alive.

We begin to ripen . . . to open to new possibilities – the possibility of being rich – of  being all that we can be and having all that we desire.

So Happy Beginnings to you . . .

Live Serendipitously . . . Prosper . . . Ripen . . . and Dare to Be Rich
