Valentine’s Day is Important for All of Us . . .

The significance of having a holiday celebrating, fostering and honoring Love is immeasurable!  Why?

Because Love heals . . .

“Love cures people – both the ones who give it and the ones who receive it,” writes Twentieth Century American psychiatrist, Dr. Karl Menninger.

“Love is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence,” claims Twentieth Century German social psychologist and humanistic philosopher, Eric Fromm – author of the classic treatise on Love – The Art of Loving.

“If we could harness the power of Love, we would reinvent the wheel for the second time” . . . says a fabulous quote (which I am paraphrasing) from some ancient sage – a quote I seem unable to find at the moment, but which has stuck in my mind for years as quite profound and powerful . . . and true.

I could go on and on with quotes about Love.  But perhaps even more powerful to convey to you the healing power of Love, is what I have witnessed in real life . . . over and over.

A friend of mine hated and resented her mother, who had been ill and therefore an embarrassing and incompetent mother to her.  Then she fell in love with her soul-mate . . . and over the next five or six years, I witnessed that hatred and resentment turn to compassion and empathy.   Why and how did that happen?  Through no conscious effort – or even awareness – on her part; but simply by the sheer force and power of the pervasive Love that took over, her negative emotions were simply dissolved and replaced by the loving ones.

Another acquaintance of mine, had been angry and bored her entire adult life because of an abusive marriage that left her emotionally unavailable to everyone.  She simply couldn’t muster the Love she felt to rise to the surface so she could express and communicate it to her family and friends.  Then she had grandchildren . . . and the overwhelming Love she was filled up with simply left little room for or memory of the anger she had previously lived with.  It’s a law of nature that two things cannot occupy the same place at the same time . . . so the Love she was filled up with simply displaced her anger.

On a physical plane . . . a friend of mine had been experiencing severe knee problems, to the point where she was unable to walk long distances and even began using a wheel chair whenever traveling.  Then she met a man, fell in love . . . and began going everywhere and doing everything.  About a year or two later, I remembered her knee problems, so I asked her, ”What happened?”  Her answer was simple – “Marvin!”

Why?  Because everything is energy . . . both physics and metaphysics tell us that.  And since Love is the highest and most inclusive energy frequency . . . Love is the greatest healer.  It simply negates and obliterates any opposing emotions or qualities.  Like type O blood which is the life-saving “Universal Donor” . . . Love is “The Universal Healer.”

So . . . Happy Valentine’s Day . . . Happy Love Day!

EnjOy . . . and Live Serendipitously!

Why Love Heals . . .

WHY LOVE HEALS

I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday whose husband is working on a Rife Machine – a machine that heals diseases by using the appropriate frequency for that disease.  (To greatly simplify this . . . Since everything is energy, each disease has a frequency and this machine zaps it with that same frequency, kind of like Pac Man, or Ella Fitzgerald hitting a note and blasting the glass.)

While showering this morning, I was thinking about Love (aren’t we all?) and why and how love heals.  We’ve all heard that love heals.  Great minds throughout the ages have told us so; even the Bible extols the virtues and power of love. And most of us have heard that love heals because of its high frequency.  Since everything in the universe is energy, including us, as again, great minds and popular thinkers from Einstein (the penultimate metaphysical physicist) to the ever popular Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra have told us, then the energy of love – its high frequency – heals.  I always thought I got it.

But this morning, in the shower, thinking about the Rife Machine – I really got it.  And I am so excited about getting it, that I had to share it with you, in case any of you, like me, always thought you got it before – but somehow the “getting it” got stuck in your minds and was therefore, limited and small.

Imagine pages and pages – an entire loose leaf notebook filled with pages listing every disease, ailment and malady known to man and their corresponding frequencies.  This is what my friend showed me yesterday.  Then imagine Love – as not only the highest frequency, but the most inclusive – the frequency that includes all the others!  Yeah – now do you get it?!  The entire notebook gets reduced to one page . . . one sentence . . . one word!

So – it is imperative, literally a matter of life and death, that we love life; for that love is what creates, sustains and supports our radiant health – what Friedrich Nietzsche calls “Great Healthiness.”  So – Love, Love, Love – Love the work you do; Love where you live; Love your friends, your family, your spouse, lover or significant other; Love the air you breathe, the blue sky; and Love the lone bright yellow day lily growing along the side of the road.

Love the life you live – and live the life you love.  LIVE SERENDIPITOUSLY . . . and always keep the wonder alive, for that is literally what keeps you alive.

 Happy Valentine’s Day!

 Enjoy,

 Madeleine Kay
