Redefining Relationships

June 21st, 2010 Madeleine Kay No comments

When we talk about relationships, we almost always think of interactions between people.  But some of our most crucial relationships are not with people at all . . . yet they have a profound effect on our lives and our relationships with others.

Like our relationship with money or food or ourselves . . . or with Life itself.

So many of us have a warped, confused, undeveloped or resistant relationship with money or food or with ourselves . . . that these each become problems for us and areas of struggle, causing us to focus on the money, food or ourselves rather than on our relationship with each of these.

The relationship however, is something we can change.  It’s something we have power over.  The thing itself is not something we can change because it’s an entity.

Everything we experience is really just a dynamic between us and the entity or experience.  This dynamic is based on our perspective and how we respond to the entity or experience.  So if we change our perspective, we can alter our response.  For example, if we move from behind a tree, our entire perspective changes and things look completely different.  So, we relate to them differently and can interact with them differently.

Similarly, if we step out of our often subconscious resistance to money and success, our ever vigilant obsession with food and our weight . . . if we cut ourselves some slack in our relationship with ourselves – we will relate to money, food and ourselves differently and eliminate, or at least diminish, our struggle with these things . . . and our lives will therefore, begin to change.

If you move through Life with gratitude, appreciation and friendliness rather than struggle and conflict, that responsiveness you have and express to Life creates, magnetizes, attracts and elicits a responsiveness from Life back to you; and all your relationships will miraculously improve and become easier, healthier . . . and a lot more fun and lucrative.

Baby Boomers and Money

March 27th, 2010 Madeleine Kay No comments

What is a “Baby Boomer”? I have heard that phrase my whole life, but never really knew just who a Baby Boomer was. I knew only that it referred to people born during or just after World War II . . . presumably because with all the men returning from the war, couples were only too happy to be together again . . . and to stay at home and make babies.

So, just who is a Baby Boomer? It is anyone born between January 1st, 1946 and December 31st, 1964. Wow . . . that’s a pretty long time span – one that probably includes a lot of you.

It seems that now that the first wave of Baby Boomers is actually eligible to begin collecting Social Security retirement benefits, Boomers have become a hot topic, a powerful economic group . . . and the subject of a lot of observation and speculation.

You see, as you know (especially if you are one), we Boomers were the ultimate idealists . . . spreading messages of love not war, personal fulfillment not materialism, ideals not money.

For Boomers, success was measured not in terms of the amount of money you made, but in terms of how happy you were, the amount of good you could do in your life, the amount of personal satisfaction you derived from what you were doing, and the level of personal satisfaction you achieved doing it.

Money simply was not part of the equation . . . not an important part, anyway. In fact, money, riches, wealth and success were often frowned upon as indications of a superficial, shallow, materialistic life – a life in which you sacrificed personal expression and satisfaction to the almighty dollar.

Well, that certainly has changed! Now, the Boomers – especially those who have lived a life of high ideals with no concern for or interest in money, especially those who haven’t planned very well, or at all, for retirement . . . find themselves reeling from their pursuit of personal expression and fulfillment, while often flaunting their disrespect for . . . and even a dislike of money.

Many Boomers are suddenly discovering that money is important. That they do want money . . . and maybe . . . even, to be rich. They are discovering that making and having money doesn’t have to exclude personal satisfaction and expression . . . doesn’t mean you have to compromise your values to get it . . . and they are also discovering that living according to your values and seeking personal expression and satisfaction does not have to exclude money.

So, a lot of Boomers (and you may be one of them) find yourselves in a real dilemma – having lived your entire life with no regard for money . . . often even, exhibiting a flagrant disrespect for money . . . and now, nearing retirement, you realize you do want money, you do need money . . . and you do even . . . wish you were rich!

You can solve this dilemma though – more simply than you ever thought . . . more easily than you ever imagined . . . and have more fun than you ever dared dream!

THE ONLY NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION YOU NEED

December 15th, 2009 Madeleine Kay No comments

WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU NEED TO DO
TO CHANGE IF I AM RICH TO WHEN I AM RICH?

I  discovered that one thing and it changed my life.

For years, I (like many of you probably), was paying my bills, but was never rich.

Then I began doing what I love . . . and I still wasn’t getting rich.  I began working harder and longer.  Still, nothing happened.

So, I dreamed.  I hoped.  I prayed.  I meditated.  I even begged sometimes.  But got no results.

What was the missing ingredient?  I kept wondering.  What was I overlooking?

I kept asking myself that over and over, until I got my answer.  Once I knew that . . . everything changed . . . and I began to get rich.

I discovered the one thing – the only thing – I absolutely had to do to change if I am rich to when I am rich.

And it was so simple . . . I couldn’t believe I never thought of it before!

Once you learn the secret of that one thing – that one simple thing – it will unlock the door to anything . . . everything you want . . . and you will step into the energy of possibility and be catapulted into success . . . you will unleash limitless living and unlimited wealth in your life.

That’s what happened to me three years ago, when I had an epiphany about money and energy that changed my life . . . and since then, I have been wanting to share the amazingly simple secrets I discovered about how to become rich with all of you.

I worked feverishly to complete my book Serendipitously Rich . . .
